Festive Generosity Feeds Families

Many thanks to our employees, retirees and family members who collected approximately 17,464 pounds of food, valued at $56,000, and $7,495 in cash along the parade route. In addition, we have donated the full amount of our $15,000 cash-matching pledge, bringing the total support for the Community Food Sharing Association this year to $78,554.
The warmth of the holiday season was on full display with parade goers embracing the true meaning of the holiday spirit by giving back to help families right across our province. We are proud to partner with and support the inspiring work of the Community Food Sharing Association.

In the spirit of giving back, we helped kicked off their Christmas Kettle Campaign with a gift of $2,500. We know this year continues to be especially difficult for the people of the province and our support will assist The Salvation Army in ensuring that more individuals and families have hope during this holiday season.

Coats For Kids

When the winter winds blow, a warm coat, a warm hat, and warm mittens mean so much. We were so happy to support the VOCM Cares Foundation Coats for Kids program again this year, just like we have for almost 20 years. Our employees across the province continue to show how much they care by embracing the spirit of giving back to the communities where they live and work. Many thanks for helping keep children warm this winter.

Partners For Life

As one of the founding partners for the Canadian Blood Services’ Partners for Life program in Newfoundland and Labrador, we have pledged to make 200 blood donations a year. The generosity of our employees and their families to give the gift of life is inspiring. We’re excited that we reached our goal of 200 blood donations in 2020, making us the top Partner for Life in Newfoundland again this year. Thank you to everyone who gives this life saving gift!
