We want to make getting power to your home or business a smooth and efficient process for all involved. To minimize any potential delays, contact us prior to beginning construction or early in the construction phase. The following will help you understand the process for getting your service connected:

Complete our online New Service Connection Form or give us a call at 737-5408 (St. John’s)/1-888-491-5066 (toll free) and a customer service representative will guide you through the process.

Please have the following information ready:

  • Your street name (and subdivision name, if applicable)
  • Your civic number (and subdivision lot number, if applicable)
  • Your electrician’s name and contact information (phone number and email);
  • The name of any third party representatives who may need to call in on your behalf. We must have a note on your account indicating you have given permission for us to discuss your account with these individuals before we can discuss your account details or the construction process.

Once this is complete you will be provided with a Technical Work Request (TWR) number. Please ensure you, or your third party representative, refer to your TWR number when contacting us regarding your project.

NOTE: Provide your email address and we’ll send you automatic construction related updates throughout your connection process.

If you have inquiries about your service or metering arrangement, our Service and Metering Guide is available for review.

Once you have completed your account setup, your technologist will contact you to discuss your requirements. Note that a site visit may be required.
