Community Food Sharing Association

Many thanks to our employees, retirees and family members who collected $14,600 and 20,000 pounds of food valued at $50,000 at the Downtown St. John's Christmas Parade this year. In the past 22 years, we've collected $235,950 in cash and approximately 421,000 pounds of food valued at $923,500 at the Annual Downtown St. John's Christmas Parade with a total value of almost $1.2 million.

We were very happy to present Eg Walters from the Community Food Sharing Association with our $15,000 matching donation. That's $30,000 to help those in need this holiday season! We also presented the food collected during our food drive - another 2,500 pounds of food valued at just over $6,000.

Employees Shane Ryan, Craig Vey, Travis Martin, along with Eg Walters and Tony Trickett with the Community Food Sharing Association, joined Gary Murray, President and CEO, to present our donation and the food we collected. Giving back feels good!

The Salvation Army

We have partnered with The Salvation Army on many worthwhile campaigns over the years to assist them with the great work they do in our communities. In the spirit of giving back, we helped kicked off their Christmas Kettle Campaign with a gift of $2,500. We know this year continues to be especially difficult for the people of the province and our support will assist The Salvation Army in ensuring that more individuals and families have hope during this holiday season.

Coats For Kids

When the winter winds blow, a warm coat, a warm hat, and warm mittens mean so much. We were so happy to support the VOCM Cares Foundation Coats for Kids program again this year, just like we have for almost 20 years. Our employees across the province continue to show how much they care by embracing the spirit of giving back to the communities where they live and work. Many thanks for helping keep children warm this winter.
